چکیده

Detection of pre-seizure signs in epileptic signals may help patients to survive the seizure with minimal damage. This study aims detect patterns using EEG datasets five patients. The signals' maximum power spectral density (PSD) and high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) are investigated. PSDs all patients' calculated, subbands PSD examined. It is observed that 95%, 85%, 75%, 80% channels sum delta theta PSD, respectively. All frequency F4 T3 included only subbands. Furthermore, increase rates pre-ictal ictal investigated, increasing ripples fast then calculated. A much higher-frequency ripple follows low-frequency 65%, 75% first, second, third, fourth, fifth patients, For data, a higher not seen, followed by 90%, 90% In addition, this study, be 80 Hz above Fp2, C4, P4, O2, Pz channels, which common Consequently, examining HFO ensures detection differences between data sets detects

Topographic movie of intracranial ictal high-frequency oscillations with seizure semiology: epileptic network in Jacksonian seizures.

PURPOSE We developed a technique to produce images of dynamic changes in ictal high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) >40 Hz recorded on subdural electroencephalography (EEG) that are time-locked to the ictal EEG and ictal semiology video. We applied this technique to Jacksonian seizures to demonstrate ictal HFO propagation along the homunculus in the primary sensory-motor cortex to visualize the u...

Epileptic Seizure Detection in EEGs Using Time-Frequency Analysis

The detection of recorded epileptic seizure activity in EEG segments is crucial for the localization and classification of epileptic seizures. However, since seizure evolution is typically a dynamic and nonstationary process and the signals are composed of multiple frequencies, visual and conventional frequency-based methods have limited application. In this paper, we demonstrate the suitabilit...

High-frequency oscillations and seizure generation in neocortical epilepsy.

Neocortical seizures are often poorly localized, explosive and widespread at onset, making them poorly amenable to epilepsy surgery in the absence of associated focal brain lesions. We describe, for the first time in an unselected group of patients with neocortical epilepsy, the finding that high-frequency (60-100 Hz) epileptiform oscillations are highly localized in the seizure onset zone, bot...

Spatial characterization of interictal high frequency oscillations in epileptic neocortex

Interictal high frequency oscillations (HFOs), in particular those with frequency components in excess of 200 Hz, have been proposed as important biomarkers of epileptic cortex as well as the genesis of seizures. We investigated the spatial extent, classification and distribution of HFOs using a dense 4 x 4 mm(2) two dimensional microelectrode array implanted in the neocortex of four patients u...

Prediction and Detection of Epileptic Seizure

Epilepsy is one of the common neurological disorders characterized by a sudden and recurrent malfunction of the brain that is termed “seizure”, affecting around 65 million individuals worldwide. Epileptic seizure may lead to many injuries such as fractures, submersion, burns, motor vehicle accidents and even death. It is highly possible to prevent these unwanted situations if we can predict/det...
