Epidemiology of Turbot (Scophthalmus maeoticus) Bacterial Contamination, a Fishery Limiting Factor on the Romanian Black Sea

چکیده
The aim of this research was to evaluate the health status Scophthalmus maeoticus (Pallas, 1814) population from Romanian marine area in 2016–2019, by identifying and investigating information about bacterial constitutional diseases, establishing influence these bacterioses on researched populations, highlighting main biological disorders (reproduction, growth, feeding) that manifested analyzed fish. diseases reported S. populations were caused pathogens genera Vibrio, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas. Numerous skin especially various types “wounds”, lesions bony tubercles, tissue may be subsequent cause neoplasms, as a result fishing gear manipulations. appearance significant changes prevalence neoplasia Black Sea coast can considered an indicator chronic stress (anthropogenic impact), rather than acute (environmental we suggest species could used occur habitat which it lives. In terms future directions, combined analysis structure, morphology determined with structural bacteria contamination degree would useful; monitoring should carried out regularly, reveal ecosystem, propose possible recommendations protective measures.

Turbot - Scophthalmus maximus
Distribution Th e turbot, Scophthalmus maximus, also called Psetta maxima (Scophthalmidae, Pleuronectiformes), is naturally distributed in European waters, from Northeast Atlantic to the Arctic Circle (30o to 70oN; 23oW42oE). It occurs in the Baltic and in the Mediterranean, as well as in the Black Sea, where a subspecies Psetta maxima maeotica has been described (1). It also exists in the Sout...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
A microsatellite genetic map of the turbot (Scophthalmus maximus).
A consensus microsatellite-based linkage map of the turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) was constructed from two unrelated families. The mapping panel was derived from a gynogenetic family of 96 haploid embryos and a biparental diploid family of 85 full-sib progeny with known linkage phase. A total of 242 microsatellites were mapped in 26 linkage groups, six markers remaining unlinked. The consensus ...

Black Sea is one of themost severely degraded and exploited largemarine ecosystems in the world. For the last 50 years after the depletion of large predatory fish stocks, anchovy (with the partial contribution of sprat) has been acting as the main top predator species and experienced a major stock collapse at the end of 1990s. After the collapse, eastern part of the southern Black Sea became th...

A new group of Cytophaga-like bacteria has been recovered from healthy and diseased turbot in Scotland. Cultures produced orange colonies and contained short rods with distinctively thick cell walls. Gliding movement was observed and the guanine plus cytosine ratio of the DNA was 31.7 to 32.1 mols %. The organism caused gill hyperplasia and systemic haemorrhagic septicaemia in both naturally di...
