چکیده
Crop fungal diseases are a major threat to crop health and food security worldwide. The epidemiology is the basis for effective sustainable control of diseases. Safe, effective, sustainable, eco-friendly disease measures have important economic, ecological, social significances. This Special Issue, “Epidemiology Control Fungal Diseases Plants”, collected one communication nine original research articles focusing on identification detection causal agents alfalfa Fusarium root rot, strawberry black spot, barley leaf stripe; semantic segmentation wheat stripe rust images; image-based rust; severity head blight; development process vanilla wilt; regional migration pathogen; early prediction potato screening alternative fungicides rot; biocontrol potential endophytic fungi cumin presenting progress studies contained in this Issue facilitated related provided some diseases, which conducive management these

Identification and Assessment of Fungal Diseases of Major Medicinal Plants
Medicinal plants are infected by fungal diseases. A four years survey indicated that, there are various fungal infections in roots and shoots of several medicinal plants that grown in Isfahan. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), rosemarry (Rosmarinus officinalis) and viper’s bugloss (Borago officinalis) plants were infected by Fusarium oxysporum and F. solani on roots, showing wilting and eventu...
متن کاملSilver nanoparticles, a potential alternative to conventional anti-fungal agents to fungal pathogens affecting crop plants
Metallic silver nanoparticles have been reduced from silver nitrate by employing the extracellular enzymatic machinery of edible White button Mushroom (Agaricus bisporus). The physical properties of these particles, size and shapes have been determined using techniques like TEM, FTIR and XRD and were reported in our earlier report. But, what stands of paramount importance in the presen...

متن کاملBryophytes: A Potent Tool for Controlling Some Fungal Diseases of Crop Plants
The aim of this study was to evaluate the antifungal potential of moss Bryum argentium, and Bryum cellulare against the phytopathogenic fungi Curvularia lunata, the causal organism of leaf spot of Zea mays using pour plate method. A phytochemical screening of the extracts was also carried out to determine the antifungal substances present in both the bryophytes. The results revealed that the ra...
متن کاملPopulation genetics of fungal diseases of plants.
Although parasitism is one of the most common lifestyles among eukaryotes, population genetics on parasites lag for behind those on free-living organisms. Yet, the advent of molecular markers offers great tools for studying important processes, such as dispersal, mating systems, adaptation to host and speciation. Here we highlight some studies that used molecular markers to address questions ab...
