چکیده

Potato residue is a rich source of dietary fibre. Herein, the effects unmodified and enzymes (cellulase xylanase) modified potato fibres on distribution intestinal microbiotas production short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) C57BL/6 mice were evaluated. Results showed that enzymatic modification increased soluble fibre content in residue. Administration these promoted acetic acid, n-butyric iso-butyric valeric iso-valeric while inhibiting propionic acid (p < 0.05). The improved richness diversity microflora mice, particularly Bacteroidetes to Firmicutes ratio Modification by cellulase xylanase significantly regulating bioactivities towards gut microbiota values food applications fibres. These have potential act as therapeutic agents treat dysbiosis microbiota.

Enzymatic preparation of structured oils containing short-chain fatty acids.

Structured oils prepared by enzymatic transacylation with triacylglycerols (TAGs) and various fatty acids (FAs) were characterized. Transacylation with trilaurin and saturated FAs (C4:0-C16:0) was performed using Lipozyme RM-IM under standard reaction conditions. The structured oils thus produced had transacylation ratios of 25-37%, as medium-chain FAs > long-chain FAs > short-chain FAs. This r...

Gut microbial metabolite short-chain fatty acids and obesity

Over the past decade, the gut microbiota has emerged as an essential mediator in the pathophysiology of obesity and related metabolic disorders. In this context, the reciprocal interactions of the gut microbiota structure and their metabolite profiles with host metabolism predisposing to a range of pathological conditions (e.g., insulin resistance) related to energy homeostasis have been increa...

Gut microbiota–derived short-chain fatty acids and kidney diseases

Gut microbiota and its metabolites play pivotal roles in host physiology and pathology. Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), as a group of metabolites, exert positive regulatory effects on energy metabolism, hormone secretion, immune inflammation, hypertension, and cancer. The functions of SCFAs are related to their activation of transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors and their inhibition of his...

Dietary Gut Microbial Metabolites, Short-chain Fatty Acids, and Host Metabolic Regulation

During feeding, the gut microbiota contributes to the host energy acquisition and metabolic regulation thereby influencing the development of metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes. Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) such as acetate, butyrate, and propionate, which are produced by gut microbial fermentation of dietary fiber, are recognized as essential host energy sources and act as sign...

Effect of short-chain Fatty acids extracted from beef cattle manure on germination and seedling development.

Composted and fresh beef cattle manure samples were extracted with distilled water, acetone, methanol, 2 N sodium hydroxide, 2 N hydrochloric acid, and ether. Bioassay techniques, using the extracts, showed that composted manure extracts had limited effect on seed germination and seeding development of wheat and sorghum. All the extracts of fresh manure, other than distilled water, retarded ger...
