Environmental Fragility in a Permanent Preservation Area

Permanent preservation areas reduce the exposure of sediments and nutrients in aquatic medium improve quality water. The analysis natural features anthropic use rivers’ surroundings makes it possible detecting potential ecological unbalance. This study analyzed emerging environmental fragility Preservation Areas (PPA). Environmental fragilities around drainage composing sub-basin were assessed based on soil, relief, rainfall, land use/land cover (LULC) features. degrees observed second-order stream lower than those first-order ones: 3.07 2.68, average, respectively; standard deviation approximately 0.7 was recorded each group. First-order streams are more closely associated with high slopes, increases their fragility. Then reduction levels water springs due to conservationist practices will decrease material energy transfer throughout network connections rebalance ecosystem.
