چکیده
Abstract Background Banana fruit scarring beetle (BFSB), Basilepta subcostata (Jac.) (Chrysomelidae:Coleoptera), is an important insect pest feeds on leaf and fingers, which affects the cosmetic value of fruit. The distributed in Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, North-eastern Hill regions India. Results currently managed by foliar spray with insecticides. In order to identify eco-friendly control pest, attempts were made isolate microbial agent evaluate their potential pest. A total 27 entomopathogenic fugal isolates obtained from Odoiporus longicollis (Oliver), Cosmopolites sordidus (Germar), (Jac), other Galleria mellonella (Fabr) . Based colony morphology, collected fungal identified as Metarhizium spp. (17) Beauveria (10). Through ITS sequencing, further characterized at species level B. bassiana (8), brongniartii (2), M. anisopliae robertsii (6), guizhouense pinghaense (1). Their sequences submitted GenBank accession numbers. Among tested against under laboratory conditions, 3 ( NRCBEPF-36, NRCBEPF-7 NRCBEPF-27) recorded 100% mortality, followed 11 95–99% 13 88–93% within 8 days treatment. Conclusion This study highlights two native North East India NRCBEPF-27 (MT151781) NRCBEPF-36 (MT140308) showed significance use biocontrol agents banana subcostata. In 2009, three Slovenian strains of entomopathogenic nematodes) and commercial product Entonem (active ingredient S. feltiae), were tested under laboratory conditions for their activity against adult cereal leaf beetles (Oulema melanopus). The nematode strains were tested at four different doses (250, 500, 1000, and 2000 infective juveniles/adult) and at three temperatures (15, 20, and 25 oC). ...

The screening of entomopathogenic fungi, 7 isolates of Metarhizium spp., 12 isolates of Beauveria spp., and 1 isolate of Hirsutella citriformis against fruit fly was performed in Lampang Agricultural Research and Training Centre, Lampang, Thailand. The efficacy test was done by spraying suspension of 10 spores per ml of fungus on Bactrocera dorsalis in completely randomized design experiments. ...

The Rosaceous longhorn beetle (RLHB), Osphranteria coerulescens Redtenbacher (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) is a significant pests of fruit orchard in Iran and it is costly to control it. During an ongoing project on natural enemies of O. coerulescens in Mashhad region, North East of Iran, two isolates of entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) were isolated as natural pathogens on the larvae. The fungal isol...

Chinese privet, Ligustrum sinense Lour., is a perennial semi-evergreen shrub that is a serious invasive weed in the United States. Classical biological control offers the best hope for controlling it in an economic, effective, and persistent way. Host specificity of one of the most promising biological control agents of Chinese privet, a flea beetle, Argopistes tsekooni Chen (Coleoptera: Chryso...
