Enterprise Spatial Agglomeration and Economic Growth in Northeast China: Policy Implications for Uneven to Sustainable Development

Many countries and regions around the world are experiencing this development dilemma, Northeast China is a typical representative. To explore reason for backwardness of China, we analyze formation mechanism efficiency enterprise agglomeration in research. Based on panel data 34 prefectural level or above cities 241 citescities other from 1999 to 2015, fixed effects model used, considering agglomeration, foreign direct investment (FDI), assets, non-agricultural industry structure. It found that has highly significant negative impact urban productivity phenomenon diseconomy northeast most among four country. Furthermore, according moderation analysis, reduces pulling asset FDI economic but enhances promotion effect structure productivity. After robustness test extension study determines does not effectively stimulate driving role investments. Finally, discuss measures can help resolve current problem achieve sustainable development.
