چکیده
Abstract Colossoma macropomum is freshwater fish which has a great demand in Indonesia. However, cultivation of C. still developing. requires good quality seeds to support the success aquaculture. The exhausted egg yolks macopomum larvae require appropriate and high-nutrient feed intake through enrichment with addition natural nutrients ( Moina sp.). This study aimed evaluate effect additional sp. enriched meal on survival growth . was structured using completely randomized design (CRD) consisting 4 treatments 3 replications, namely: treatment A without meal), B gr/L), C 6 D 8 gr/L meal). results showed that had significant absolute length growth, weight specific rate but no highest value obtained gr/L) 0.46 cm, 0.010 gr, 3.184%/day.

Microsatellites Associated with Growth Performance and Analysis of Resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila in Tambaqui Colossoma macropomum
Tambaqui, Colossoma macropomum, is the main native fish species produced in Brazil, and is an important species for genetic improvement in aquaculture. In addition, breeding studies on this species can be optimized with the use of molecular markers associated with productive phenotypes. The objective of the present study was to test the performance of growth traits and resistance to the bacteri...
متن کاملThe feeding activity of Colossoma macropomum larvae (tambaqui) in fishponds with water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) fertilizer.
Analysis of macrophyte water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) as an organic fertilizer of Colossoma macropomum (tambaqui) larvae in ponds is provided. Water hyacinth produce an organic fertilizer at the ratio of 100 g x m(-2) in tambaqui ponds. Two groups of 5,000 larvae were transferred to two fishponds with and without water hyacinth fertilizer and reared until day 43. The fertilized pond evid...
متن کاملMyxobolus sp. (Myxozoa) in the circulating blood of Colossoma macropomum (Osteichthyes, Characidae).
Myxosporea parasitize many organs in fresh and saltwater fish. Species of the genus Myxobolus parasitizing the gills and other organs of the tambaqui Colossoma macropomum have been described. In the present study, blood smears were made from juvenile tambaqui and were stained with May Grunwald-Giemsa-Wright in order to identify myxozoan parasites. Out of a total of 36 fish examined, one specime...
متن کاملDifferential expression of a retrotransposable element, Rex6, in Colossoma macropomum fish from different Amazonian environments
Transposable elements (TEs) are DNA sequences that have the ability to move and replicate within the genomes. TEs can be classified according to their intermediates of transposition, RNA (retrotransposons) or DNA. In some aquatic organisms, it has been observed that environmental factors such as pH, temperature and pollution may stimulate differential transcription and mobilization of retrotran...
متن کاملpH drop impacts differentially skin and gut microbiota of the Amazonian fish tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum)
Aquatic organisms are increasingly exposed to lowering of environmental pH due to anthropogenic pressure (e.g. acid rain, acid mine drainages). Such acute variations trigger imbalance of fish-associated microbiota, which in turn favour opportunistic diseases. We used the tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum), an Amazonian fish tolerant to significant pH variation in its natural environment, to assess...
