Enriching Load Data Using Micro-PMUs and Smart Meters

چکیده

In modern distribution systems, load uncertainty can be fully captured by micro-PMUs, which record high-resolution data; however, in practice, micro-PMUs are installed at limited locations networks due to budgetary constraints. contrast, smart meters widely deployed but only measure relatively low-resolution energy consumption, cannot sufficiently reflect the actual instantaneous volatility within each sampling interval. this paper, we have proposed a novel approach for enriching data service transformers that meters. The key our is statistically recover data, masked using trained probabilistic models of both high- and sources, i.e., overall framework consists two steps: first, with Gaussian Process leveraged capture relationship between maximum/minimum average interval meters; Markov chain model employed characterize transition probability known load. Can Smart Meters Create Smart Behaviour?

Intelligent technologies are increasingly facilitating sustainable water management strategies in Australia. While this innovation can present clear cost benefits to utilities through immediate leak detection and deference of capital costs, the impact of this technology on households is less distinct. By offering real-time engagement and detailed end-use consumption breakdowns, there is signifi...

Meters to Models: Using Smart Meter Data to Predict and Control Home Energy Use

Access to smart meter data in the United States presents an opportunity to better understand residential energy consumption and energy-related behaviors. Air-conditioning (A/C) use, in particular, is a highly variable and significant contributor to residential energy demand. Most current building simulation software tools require intricate detail and training to accurately model A/C electricity...

Smart meters: A users' view

Smart meters are assumed to contribute to energy conservation by providing updated consumption data to energy utilities, but, given their pervasive presence in consumers’ homes, they could also provide timely feedback to energy consumers/users. A precondition, however, is that smart meters are really usable to lay consumers. In the present study 40 participants were videorecorded while performi...

Using Smart Meters to Estimate Low Voltage Losses

Losses on low voltage networks are often substantial. For example, in the UK they have been estimated as being 4% of the energy supplied by low voltage networks. However, the breakdown of the losses to individual conductors and their split over time are poorly understood as generally only the peak demands and average loads over several months have been recorded. The introduction of domestic sma...
