Enhancing the Structural, Optical, Thermal, and Electrical Properties of PVA Filled with Mixed Nanoparticles (TiO2/Cu)

In this work, new samples of PVA-TiO2/Cu nanocomposites were prepared via the casting method. The examined using different analytical methods. An XRD analysis showed semi-crystalline nature PVA polymer, as well showing a decrease in degree crystallinity structure result addition mixed nanoparticles. TEM images indicate spherical shape Cu NPs, with size ranging from 2 to 22 nm, and rectangular TiO2 5 25 nm. It was evident FTIR measurements that there interactions between functional groups TiO2/Cu NPs. optical properties improved an increase content nanoparticles, shown UV/Vis analysis. DSC curves improvement thermal stability after embedding impedance spectroscopy AC conductivity by adding nanoparticles polymeric matrix. maximum found at 1.60 wt.% 13.80 × 10−6 S/cm room temperature. Relaxation occurred charge carrier hopping localized state correlated barriers model, describing dominant mechanism, presented electrical modulus These results nanocomposite can be used energy storage capacitor applications alternative separator-rechargeable lithium-ion battery industry.
