Enhancing students’ professional information literacy

Creating information literate students and future employees is an expected outcome of a tertiary education. This paper shares insights from successful collaboration between academic three university librarians to create online learning module designed develop students’ professional literacy capability: identifying business types, searching databases, evaluating quality using new indigenous-informed evaluation approach. Student was measured reflective tasks assessments. The challenges teachers consider ways they can collaborate explicitly embed (IL) skills development into large disciplinary courses, particularly during the transition learning, enhance lifelong capability meet workplace IL demands.
