Enhancing awareness of industrial robots in collaborative manufacturing

The diffusion of Human-Robot Collaborative cells is prevented by several barriers. Classical control approaches seem not yet fully suitable for facing the variability conveyed presence human operators beside robots. capabilities representing heterogeneous knowledge representation and performing abstract reasoning are crucial to enhance flexibility solutions. To this aim, ontology SOHO (Sharework Ontology Collaboration) has been specifically designed Collaboration scenarios, following a context-based approach. This work brings contributions. paper proposes an extension better characterize behavioral constraints collaborative tasks. Furthermore, shows extraction procedure automatize synthesis Artificial Intelligence plan-based controllers realizing flexible coordination robot behaviors in generality ontological model developed as well validity synthesized planning domains evaluated on number realistic industrial scenarios where robots actually deployed.
