Enhancement of YIG |Pt spin conductance by local Joule annealing

چکیده
We report that Joule heating can be used to enhance the interfacial spin conductivity between a metal and an oxide. observe local annealing of interface at about 550 K, when injecting large current densities (>1012A/m2) into pristine 7 nm thick Pt nanostrip evaporated on top yttrium iron garnet (YIG), improve effective transmission up factor 3. This result is particular interest interfacing ultrathin films avoid strong chemical etching surface. The effect confirmed by following methods: Hall magnetoresistance, pumping, non-local transport. use it study influence YIG|Pt coupling non-linear transport properties. find crossover from linear regime independent this coupling.
