Enhancement of valley-selective excitation by a linearly polarized two-color laser pulse

چکیده

Here, we propose valley-selective excitations via a two-color $(\ensuremath{\omega}+2\ensuremath{\omega})$ laser field, made by superimposing two linearly polarized pulses at frequencies $\ensuremath{\omega}$ and $2\ensuremath{\omega}$. We have studied the intensity ratio between few-cycle pulse of an $2\ensuremath{\omega}$ laser, its enhancement factor employing time-dependent first-principles calculations. The valley polarization depends on carrier-envelope phases (CEPs) ${I}_{\ensuremath{\omega}}/{I}_{2\ensuremath{\omega}}$. found that field enhances as much 1.2 times larger than single-color pulse. Maximum asymmetry is achieved for ${I}_{\ensuremath{\omega}}/{I}_{2\ensuremath{\omega}}$ 36 with relative CEP $\ensuremath{\pi}$. In our previous work, asymmetric vector potential induces [A. Hashmi et al., Phys. Rev. B 105, 115403 (2022)]. this paper, find electric modulates polarization. Our scheme offers another path toward optical control pseudospins.

Numerical Simulation of an Intense Isolated Attosecond Pulse by a Chirped Two-Color Laser Field

We investigate theoretically the high-order harmonic spectrum extension and numerical generation of an intense isolated attosecond pulse from He+ ion irradiated by a two-color laser field. Our simulation results show that the chirp of the fundamental field can control HHG cutoff position. Also, these results show that the envelope forms of two fields are important factors for controlling the re...

Selective suppression of two-photon fluorescence in laser scanning microscopy by ultrafast pulse-train excitation.

Selective excitation of a particular fluorophore in the presence of others demands clever design of the optical field interacting with the molecules. We describe the use of 20- to 50-GHz pulse-train excitation leading to two-photon absorption, followed by successive one-photon stimulated emission as a potential technique in the context of controlling two-photon molecular fluorescence, with appl...

Selective two-photon fluorescence suppression by ultrafast pulse-pair excitation: control by selective one-color stimulated emission.

Controlling two-photon molecular fluorescence leading to selective fluorophore excitation has been a long sought after goal in fluorescence microscopy. In this letter, we thoroughly explore selective fluorescence suppression through simultaneous two-photon absorption by two different fluorophores followed by selective one-photon stimulated emission for one particular fluorophore. We achieve thi...
