چکیده
Bismuth sulphide (Bi2S3), an n-type semiconductor that critically demonstrates the Seebeck effect with coefficients of about 300 μVK−1. However, its poor electrical conductivity makes it unsuitable for thermoelectric applications. In this study, we present a facile preparation method fabricating Bi-sprayed Bi2S3 particles alters their properties. Samples were created differing Bi concentrations into compound to test enhanced properties resulting Bi/Bi2S3 composites. The incorporation excess significantly improves compound's and optimises overall performance. composites improved from 6.5 Scm−1 (for pristine Bi2S3) 154 highest added Bi2S3). Although coefficient samples decreased incorporation, high power factor (∼390 μWm−1K−2) has been achieved optimised composition composite. Incorporation metallic led increase in thermal samples, but is not significant where performance observed. Therefore, moderate have resulted peak ZT value 0.11 at room temperature. strategy proposed here thermoelectricity shows excellent potential developing better-performing compounds elemental contents.

Thermoelectricity of interacting particles: a numerical approach.
A method for computing the thermopower in interacting systems is proposed. This approach, which relies on Monte Carlo simulations, is illustrated first for a diatomic chain of hard-point elastically colliding particles and then in the case of a one-dimensional gas with (screened) Coulomb interparticle interaction. Numerical simulations up to N>10^{4} particles confirm the general theoretical ar...
متن کاملColloidal synthesis and characterizations of wittichenite copper bismuth sulphide nanocrystals.
Wittichenite (Cu(3)BiS(3)) nanocrystals have been synthesized utilizing a hot-injection method. They have been characterized in detail. Cu(3)BiS(3) nanocrystals possessed a band gap of 1.56 eV, and the corresponding nanocrystal-film shows a clear photoresponse in I-V measurements. Our work illustrates that Cu(3)BiS(3) nanocrystals have potential in the application of solar cells.
متن کاملImpact Modeling of Thermally Sprayed Polymer Particles
Thermal spray has traditionally been used for depositing metallic, carbide and ceramic coatings, however, it has recently been found that the high kinetic energy of the High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) thermal spray process also enables the solventless processing of high melt viscosity polymers, eliminating the need for harmful, volatile organic solvents. A primarily goal of this work was to devel...
متن کاملSpin-flip Enhanced Thermoelectricity in Superconductor-Ferromagnet Bilayers
We study the effects of Zeeman-splitting and spin-flip scattering in a superconductor (S) on the thermoelectric properties of a tunneling contact to a metallic ferromagnet (F) using the Green’s function method. A giant thermopower has been theoretically predicted and experimentally observed in such structures. This huge thermoelectric effect is attributed to the spin-dependent particle-hole asy...
متن کاملSintering of Fine Particles in Suspension Plasma Sprayed Coatings
Suspension plasma spraying is a process that enables the production of finely grained nanometric or submicrometric coatings. The suspensions are formulated with the use of fine powder particles in water or alcohol with some additives. Subsequently, the suspension is injected into plasma jet and the liquid additives evaporate. The remaining fine solids are molten and subsequently agglomerate or ...
