چکیده
This paper aims to investigate the effect of extrusion at high solid loading on corn stover (CS) properties and its enzymatic hydrolysis. biomass was extruded under different screw speeds loadings impact these parameters physicochemical evaluated. It found that lignocellulosic components were not significantly affected by pretreatment, while surface area increased with rotation speed. Different enzyme cocktails used for hydrolysis untreated CS. Overall, mild twin-extrusion enhanced CS through an increase in glucose xylose yields 134–212% 214–294%, respectively, when using Trichoderma longibrachiatum cellulase. The highest sugar content obtained from 400 g total solids per liter 200 rpm. energy efficiency pretreatment also assessed be maximal © 2022 Society Chemical Industry John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Biological Pretreatment under Non-sterile Conditions for Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Corn Stover
Pretreatment with white-rot fungi can effectively remove lignin and decompose the structure of biomass to enhance subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis. This study developed a novel fungal pretreatment of biomass, which was operated under non-sterile conditions. The white-rot fungus Irpex lacteus colonized stably on the non-sterile substrates and effectively degraded lignin. After non-sterile fungal ...
متن کاملAnhydrous Ammonia Pretreatment of Corn Stover and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Glucan from Pretreated Corn Stover
As a promising alternative of fossil fuel, ethanol has been widely used. In recent years, much attention has been devoted to bioethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass. In previous research, it is found that the pretreatment method named low-moisture anhydrous ammonia (LMAA) has the advantage of high conversion efficiency and less washing requirements. The purpose of this study was to e...
متن کاملLime pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis of corn stover.
Corn stover was pretreated with an excess of calcium hydroxide (0.5 g Ca(OH)2/g raw biomass) in non-oxidative and oxidative conditions at 25, 35, 45, and 55 degrees C. The optimal condition is 55 degrees C for 4 weeks with aeration. Glucan (91.3%) and xylan (51.8%) were converted to glucose and xylose respectively, when the treated corn stover was enzymatically hydrolyzed with 15 FPU/g cellulos...
متن کاملThe pretreatment of corn stover with Gloeophyllum trabeum KU-41 for enzymatic hydrolysis
BACKGROUND Pretreatment is an essential step in the enzymatic hydrolysis of biomass for bio-ethanol production. The dominant concern in this step is how to decrease the high cost of pretreatment while achieving a high sugar yield. Fungal pretreatment of biomass was previously reported to be effective, with the advantage of having a low energy requirement and requiring no application of addition...
متن کاملAn enzymatic hydrolysis approach for characterizing labile phosphorus forms in dairy manure under mild assay conditions.
Characterizing labile P forms in animal manure is a challenge due to their susceptibility to hydrolysis. In this study, we enzymatically characterized P forms in dairy manure (no bedding), collected from a representative dairy farm in New York, by separating into soluble and residual components under mild assay conditions using water and sodium acetate buffer (pH 5.0). About 75% of total manure...
