Enhanced Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Properties of FeCo-C Alloy by Exploiting Metamaterial Structure

This study presents a tri-layer broadband metamaterial absorber that operates in the GHz range. The was composed of polyhedral iron-cobalt alloy/graphite nanosheet material arranged flat sheet with two punched-in rings for top layer, continuous FR-4 layer at middle, and copper bottom. For normal incidence electromagnetic wave, proposed demonstrated an exceptional absorption frequency range 7.9–14.6 GHz, revealing exceeding 90%. magnitude remains to be above 90% 8–11.1 transverse-electric-polarized waves incident angles up 55°. both transverse-magnetic- electric-polarized waves, exceeds 9.5–14.6 GHz. physical mechanism behind properties is analyzed thoroughly through electric magnetic field distributions. obtained results could contribute potentially development microwave applications based on absorbers, such as radar-stealth technology, shielding health safety, reduced interferences high-performance communications electronic devices.
