چکیده

The finitude and environmental impact of petroleum fuels have led to the search alternative biodiesel has proven be an fuel petro-diesel with less impact. Engine performance exhaust emissions Sandbox Methyl Ester (SBME) were evaluated. Pure SBME (B100) was blended diesel at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 50% volume designated B5, B10, B15, B20, B25 B50 respectively. used as a reference fuel. blends (B100-B5) power 4-stroke-single-cylinder engine coupled dynamometer 7.5 kW alternator varying loads. brake specific consumption (bsfc), power, thermal efficiency, carbon monoxide (CO), oxides nitrogen (NOx) hydrocarbon results no-load full-load indicated that utilized lowest bsfc 0.14-0.62 kg/kW.h produce highest 5.6-3.7 kW. Similarly, range B5-B25 0.16-0.86 5.1-2.9 efficiency 58-14% for diesel, 52-10% B5-B25. CO emission reduced 38.24-11.11% B5 64.71-55.56% B100. HC 9.09-5.56% 45.45-30.56% NOx increased concentration. obtained established it potential internal combustion engines.

Diesel Engine Performance and Exhaust Emissions Using Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel

Non-road diesel engines are significant contributors to air pollution in the United States (USEPA, 2004). These engines emit particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and other pollutants. The Clean Air Non-road Diesel Rule was put in place to reduce emission levels from agricultural, construction, and industrial diesel powered equipment. This rule calls for a reduct...

Engine Performance and Exhaust Emissions of Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between engine performance and emissions of cottonseed oil biodiesel used in a 14.2 kW diesel engine. When using cottonseed oil biodiesel blends, CO, total hydrocarbon (THC), NOx, and SO2 emissions decreased as compared to petroleum diesel. Carbon dioxide emissions had no definitive trend in relation to cottonseed oil biodiesel bl...

Performance and emissions of an agricultural diesel engine fuelled with different diesel and methyl ester blends

This paper shows the results of an investigation carried out to assess the application of different fuels produced by blending diesel fuel with methyl ester obtained from mixture of 75% (v/v) sunflower oil and 25% (v/v) used cooking oil on a Kubota agricultural indirect injection diesel engine, natural aspirated, and with a rated horsepower of 19.7 kW. Seven fuels, namely diesel fuel; 90:10, 80...
