Engaging young learners of English with multilingual digital storytelling (MDST) during covid-19 school closure

چکیده

The use of Multilingual Multimedia Storytelling (MDST) to teach English primary school students is nothing new in Indonesia. However, digital learning still not implemented practice because schools a local subject and foreign language. In this research, the researchers used Digital as model for encouraging reflecting on multiliteracy education. They understand importance storytelling, interactive storytelling has self-representation communication with others. This research explicitly outlines our experience using MDST pedagogical innovation pupils aged 12 years. project, co-created stories multimodal texts. regard, they variety multilingual (e.g. Javanese, Bahasa Indonesia, English) well visual technical resources, which enabled them communicate their real-life through stories. practical consequences project are that teachers will experiment involve effective project-based language learning.
 HIGHLIGHTS:
