Engaging in perinatal loss in the Czech Republic: Keen community and haphazard institutionalisation

In the Czech Republic, community responsibility for care of bereaved after pregnancy loss, and specifically perinatal is a recent phenomenon. Using sociological, qualitative, explorative framework, paper analyses practices contexts establishing as emerging bottom-up initiatives. The research, funded by Science Foundation 2016– 2019, traces significant change in status quo loss associated bereavement care. Grassroots initiatives address these challenges rather than public health system post-socialist past. reflects risky or random well synergic effects changing environment provision.
