Energy Scheduling and Performance Evaluation of an e-Vehicle Charging Station

This paper proposes an energy management system (EMS) for a photovoltaic (PV) grid-connected charging station with battery storage (BESS). The main objective of this EMS is to manage the delivered electric vehicle (EV), considering price and CO2 emissions due grid’s connection. Thus, we present multi-objective two-stage optimization reduce impact on environment, as well costs. first stage provides schedule, taking into account PV forecast, hourly factor, electricity price, initial state charge BESS. output from corresponds maximum power permitted be EV by grid. Then, second based model predictive control that looks flow grid, PV, proposed validated using actual PV/BESS located at University Trieste, Italy. presents analysis performance under new three aspects, economic, environmental, energy, one month data. results show optimization, profile guarantees reduction 32% in 29%
