چکیده
The objective of this study was to characterize the energy parameters wood and production from a seven-year-old experimental plantation Eucalyptus saligna. For purpose, information collected an planting spaced at 3.0 m x in Chapadão do Sul, MS, Brazil. Values were obtained for diameter height trees, which felled rigorously cubed obtain volumes wood. Wood plantations characterized relation to: proximate chemical, calorific value, basic density annual energy. Trees able yield satisfactory estimates production. immediate chemical composition 82.85%, 17.07% 0.08% volatile materials, fixed carbon ash, respectively. evaluated woods can be classified as medium density, recommended use with purposes. Therefore, E. saligna showed results that these materials suitable use, potential forests. In way, they meet demands forest biomass purpose.

A Pl-acre. 28-year-old water oak (Quercus nigra L.) plantation on in old-field loessial site near Winnsboro, LA. was subjected to three thinning treatments during the winter of 1987-88: (1) no thinning, (2) light thinning to 180 dominant and codominant trees per acre, and (3) heavy thinning to 90 dominant and codominant trees per acre. Prior to thinning, the plantation averaged 356 trees and 86...
متن کاملClay content drives carbon stocks in soils under a plantation of Eucalyptus saligna Labill. in southern Brazil
Soil carbon accumulation is largely dependent on net primary productivity. To our knowledge, there have been no studies investigating the dynamics of carbon accumulation in weathered subtropical soils, especially in managed eucalyptus plantations. We quantified the seasonal input of leaf litter, the leaf decomposition rate and soil carbon stocks in an commercial plantation of Eucalyptus saligna...
متن کاملBark and leaf chlorophyll fluorescence are linked to wood structural changes in Eucalyptus saligna
Wood structure and wood anatomy are usually considered to be largely independent of the physiological processes that govern tree growth. This paper reports a statistical relationship between leaf and bark chlorophyll fluorescence and wood density. A relationship between leaf and bark chlorophyll fluorescence and the quantity of wood decay in a tree is also described. There was a statistically s...
