Endoscopic Removal of Ectopic Tooth in Nasal Cavity: Report of Two Cases

An ectopic tooth is an eruption of a into abnormal location, such as the palate, sinonasal cavities, mandibular condyle, coronoid process, orbit, or skin. It can be found incidentally presented with variety symptoms, unilateral nasal obstruction, epistaxis, rhinorrhea, chronic congestion, headache, facial pain. Ectopic teeth are most commonly supernumerary, but may also deciduous permanent teeth. Possible causes in cavity could genetic factors, cleft odontogenic infections, trauma, crowding displacement due to cysts tumors, etiology not yet fully understood. Early surgical removal recommended avoid possible complications. We report two cases child supernumerary cavity, both which were successfully removed via endoscopic surgery.
