Employment in Tourism Industries: Are There Subsectors with a Potentially Higher Level of Income?

This work analyzes the tourist sector, employment generated by tourism industries, and its relationship with receipts. The hypothesis is that there are subsectors a potentially higher level of income. article studies impact distribution employed population in different industry, controlling for most important economic variables, on income per arrival 24 OECD countries, using panel data period 2008–2018. As main result, model indicates labor force increases receipts ‘travel agencies other reservation services’, followed ‘sports recreation industry’ force, while having large ‘food beverage’ or ‘cultural operates opposite direction.
