چکیده

The tomato is one of the most nutritious, economically important, and delicate vegetables grown in world. It highly susceptible to insect pests microbial pathogens. leafminer moth, Tuta absoluta Meyrick, current impediment production showed invasive notorious behavior was affecting production. To control this insect, application synthetic insecticides seen as primary solution. However, during feeding stage, larvae hide within mined leaf mesophyll bored fruits from chemical spray, besides fast developing resistance several insecticides. Such characteristics reduced effectiveness efforts. Currently, natural, or ecofriendly pest method gaining momentum minimize insecticide against devastating insect. Studies that botanical extracts (phytochemicals) natural enemies such parasitoids, predators, entomopathogenic nematodes, fungi, bacteria are effective for controlling T. absoluta. As a result, basic attributes above-mentioned agents their potential have been briefly discussed review. due disease (pests), expected outcome subsectors still low. Therefore, pinpointing major diseases measures would help significantly improve crop technology used by smallholder farmers thereby sustainably Ethiopia.
