Empathy and Attitude upon An Aged Body: Aged Simulation Suit Among Undergraduate Physiotherapy Students

Background and Purpose: When empathy attitude levels of health professionals are high, patient compliance satisfaction increased. The purpose this study was to assess the undergraduate physiotherapy students towards older people before after wearing aged simulation suit by performing pre-defined related scenarios. 
 Methods: put on 63 complete scenarios, which included reading, eating, walking, sitting determine experiences emotions via semi-structured questions interviews. were evaluated using Jefferson Scale Empathy-Health Professions Students (JSE-HPS) version Kogan's Attitudes Towards Old People (KAOP) scales at baseline immediately performed scenarios.
 Results: scores JSE-HPS its sub-scales, including "perspective-taking" (p=0.000) "compassionate care" (p=0.008), significantly improved, while "standing in patient's shoes" decreased intervention (p=0.005). KAOP positive items found be higher compared results (p=0.040). Besides, 87.1% stated that their behavior would change positively.
 Conclusion: Using suits may an effective educational technique positively contributes students' attitudes empathy.
