Embracing or avoiding diversity? Yet another hostile policy against ‘non-Westerners’ in Denmark

This short commentary is intended to open a further discussion on diversity in Denmark, particularly response the announcement made by Minister of Interior and Housing, Kaare Dybvad Bek, 2021 regarding Denmark’s plan restrict number ‘non-Western/non-White’ residents any neighbourhoods avoid ‘parallel societies’. news was not surprising yet still disturbing, especially considering recent taxi law requiring drivers speak Danish, along with migration, ethnicity education research communities being accused ‘pseudo-scientific’ research. In order move toward forward-thinking, socially inclusive, multicultural, sustainable just society, I comment only (re)surge racism ‘resistance diversity’ but also higher education’s stand social scientists’ role addressing these issues wider Europe beyond.
