Anhydrous proton conductivities of squaric acid derivatives.
In this communication, we introduce squaric acid derivatives as anhydrous proton conductors. We report the synthesis, characterization and proton conductivities of four squaric acid derivatives. The anhydrous proton conductivity of one of the derivatives was 2.3 × 10(-3) S cm(-1) at 110 °C, comparable to the conductivity of molten 1H-1,2,3-triazole or 1H-imidazole.
متن کاملHeterogeneous Phase Microwave-Assisted Reactions under CO₂ or CO Pressure.
The present review deals with the recent achievements and impressive potential applications of microwave (MW) heating to promote heterogeneous reactions under gas pressure. The high versatility of the latest generation of professional reactors combines extreme reaction conditions with safer and more efficient protocols. The double aims of this survey are to provide a panoramic snapshot of MW-as...
متن کاملSquaric Acid Diethylester: A Simple and Convenient Coupling Reagent
A new method for the covalent modification of poly mers in a two-step process is described. Squaric acid di ethylester reacts with primary or secondary aliphatic amines selectively to ester amides. It is shown for the first time that this class of compounds react with poly meric systems containing amine functionalities (e.g. g-amino groups of proteins) in aqueous solution, form ing stable s...
متن کاملOne-pot squaric acid diester mediated aqueous protein conjugation.
A water-soluble squaric acid dialkyl diester derivative is presented, which enables one-pot, two-step amine-selective protein conjugation reactions with (functional) amines in water. This reagent not only allows all-aqueous protein modifications, but also tolerates e.g. hydroxyl groups and can also be used for the modification of proteins with water-insoluble amines.
متن کاملHalochromic and hydrochromic squaric acid functionalized perylene bisimide.
The functionalization of perylene bisimide by squaric acid afforded halochromic dyes with pronounced acidity. The dye senses solvent polarity, pH and humidity by means of pronounced changes in absorption spectra and thin film color through the intramolecular charge transfer between perylene and cyclobutene cores initiated by protonation/deprotonation.
