چکیده
Here we reviewed the last evidence on application of electroencephalography (EEG) as a non-invasive and portable neuroimaging method useful to extract hallmarks neuroplasticity induced by virtual reality (VR) rehabilitation approaches in stroke patients. In neurorehabilitation context, VR training has been used extensively hamper effects motor treatments stroke’s brain. The concept underlying therapy is improve brain plasticity engaging users multisensory training. this narrative review, present key concepts protocols applied patients critically discuss challenges EEG signal when endophenotype neurophysiological markers. When technology was magnify recovery, significant EEG-related neural improvements were detected primary circuit either terms power spectral density or time-frequency domains.

Virtual reality for stroke rehabilitation.
BACKGROUND Virtual reality and interactive video gaming have emerged as recent treatment approaches in stroke rehabilitation with commercial gaming consoles in particular, being rapidly adopted in clinical settings. This is an update of a Cochrane Review published first in 2011 and then again in 2015. OBJECTIVES Primary objective: to determine the efficacy of virtual reality compared with an ...
متن کاملDevelopment of virtual reality proprioceptive rehabilitation system for stroke patients
In this study, the virtual reality (VR) proprioception rehabilitation system was developed for stroke patients to use proprioception feedback in upper limb rehabilitation by blocking visual feedback. To evaluate its therapeutic effect, 10 stroke patients (onset>3 month) trained proprioception feedback rehabilitation for one week and visual feedback rehabilitation for another week in random orde...
متن کاملVirtual reality-augmented rehabilitation for patients following stroke.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Recent evidence indicates that intensive massed practice may be necessary to modify neural organization and effect recovery of motor skills in patients following stroke. Virtual reality (VR) technology has the capability of creating an interactive, motivating environment in which practice intensity and feedback can be manipulated to create individualized treatments to ret...

متن کاملVirtual reality-based post-stroke hand rehabilitation.
A VR-based system using a CyberGlove and a Rutgers Master II-ND haptic glove was used to rehabilitate four post-stroke patients in the chronic phase. Each patient had to perform a variety of VR exercises to reduce impairments in their finger range of motion, speed, fractionation and strength. Patients exercised for about two hours per day, five days a week for three weeks. Results showed that t...
