چکیده

Escalating energy demands, scarcity of conventional resources and environmental concerns are the key to fuel production through water splitting. Various electrocatalysts have been reported, considering cost effectiveness, stability OER (oxygen evolution reaction) activity. In same context, porous hybrid NiO-NiFe2O4/MWCNTs based nanocomposite as an electrocatalyst, has investigated in current study. The synthesis accomplished via co-precipitation using Tween a surfactant. Characterization electrochemical study for electrolysis synthesized electrocatalyst deposited glassy Carbon (GC) electrode anode was carried out relevant tools. Iron-doped Nickel oxide nanoparticles were recognizing excellent oxygen activity NiO its increase conductivity with Fe incorporation due higher electropositivity. Nanocomposites by incorporating upto 20% weight percent MWCNT (Multiwall carbon nanotubes). High surface volume ratios, MWCNTs furthermore, reduction crystallite sized their enhanced performance significantly. Hybrid formation NiFe2O4 at certain calcination temperature also found be reason increased grain boundaries. Porous 10% concentration outperformed 35mA/cm2 density 1.8V alkaline media.

When NiO@Ni Meets WS2 Nanosheet Array: A Highly Efficient and Ultrastable Electrocatalyst for Overall Water Splitting

The development of low-cost, high-efficiency, and stable bifunctional electrocatalysts toward the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is of paramount importance for large-scale water splitting. Here, we develop a new strategy for the first design and synthesis of a NiO@Ni decorated WS2 nanosheet array on carbon cloth (NiO@Ni/WS2/CC) composite. This composite se...

Fabrication of amorphous CoMoS4 as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for water splitting under strong alkaline conditions.

With the socio economic development, people have paid more and more attention to energy source problems, especially to clean and renewable energy such as hydrogen. It is appealing but still challenging to find or design an appropriate catalyst which is inexpensive and efficient for both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in the same electrolyte. In this wo...

Hydrogen evolution from water splitting on nanocomposite photocatalysts

The photocatalytic production of H2 in one step is potentially one of the most promising ways for the conversion and storage of solar energy. The paper overviews our recent studies on the photocatalysts splitting water into hydrogen under irradiation. The attention was mainly focused on the promotion effects of nanosized modifications in the interlayer and surface of photocatalysts for hydrogen...
