چکیده
Basic electrochemical studies of coordination complexes between cupric ions and simple amino acids as ligands (L), namely glycine, alanine valine, have been carried out to provide insight in the effect complexation on Cu 2+ discharge electrochemistry. The results show that there are strong differences their cyclic voltammograms, despite similarities equilibrium, central atom d electronic structure inner sphere distances (verified by chemical equilibrium quantification, UV spectroscopy EXAFS). Evidence mass transport limitations diffusion neutral CuL 2 solution, cuprous species generation electrode during copper electrodeposition was found, both which proved be main phenomena accounting for different behaviour previously mentioned. Voltammetric also showed that, surprisingly, produced not only at onset electroreduction but more cathodic potentials. Furthermore, suggest existence a compound layer beneath metallic deposit. data gathered this investigation, leads conclusion bigger molecular size organic nature induce unexpected processes mechanism.
