Flotation of minerals, an important part the chain metals production for our society, needs huge amounts water. This industry can contribute to sustainable use water and circular economy development by utilizing its own wastewater. However, reuse clarified without additional treatment may cause worsening flotation results. Electrocoagulation this with mild steel sacrificial anodes, complemented electroflotation is able decrease chemical oxygen demand (COD) dissolved organic carbon (DOC) treated water, i.e. remove at least partially residual reagents.
