Fabrication and Electrochemical Behavior of Monoclinic CuO and CuO/Graphite Composite Nanoparticles as Cathode in an Alkaline Zn-CuO Battery
Electrochemical properties of various rock-shaped-CuO/graphite (G) composites and monoclinic structure CuO nanoparticles as the cathode versus a zinc plate as the anode in a 4M NaOH electrolyte were elucidated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and chronopotentiometry (CP) in a two electrode configuration cell. Various values of G 9, 16 and 28 wt% were prepared and studied as catho...
متن کاملElectrochemical Degradation of Congo Red from Aqueous Solution: Role of Graphite Anode as Electrode Material
The present work has been carried out to study the mechanism of electrochemical degradation of Congo red dye. Electrolysis has been carried out in a single-chamber electrochemical cell having graphite anode and platinum cathode in the presence of KCl as supporting electrolyte under amperostatic conditions. The potential across the electrodes has been adjusted so that a constant 30 mA current pa...
متن کاملComment on electrochemical kinetics at ordered graphite electrodes.
A carbon electrodes have been used in electrochemistry for more than a century, there has been renewed recent interest in electron transfer at carbon surfaces due to the development of graphene and carbon nanotube (CNT) materials. This Comment regards reports of heterogeneous electron transfer (ET) rates on highly ordered pyrolytic graphite (HOPG), which is often used as a model for single crys...
متن کاملElectrochemical behavior of donor-tetracyanoquinodimethane electrodes in aqueous media
Electrodes prepared as compacted pellets from conductive donor-acceptor complexes of tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) with several donors (D) (tetrathiotetracene, acridine, quinoline, N-methylphenazine, 2,2'and 4,4'-bipyridine) were investigated in aqueous solutions. The results were compared to those of a previous investigation of TTF-TCNQ pellets (TTF = tetrathiafulvalene) and to results on si...
متن کاملPotential-dependent hydration structures at aqueous solution/graphite interfaces by electrochemical frequency modulation atomic force microscopy.
Potential-dependent solvation structures of aqueous electrolyte-graphite interfaces were studied using electrochemical frequency modulation atomic force microscopy. Oscillatory modulations on the force curves reversibly changed with the applied potential on the graphite electrode, and also strongly depended on the anion species in electrolyte solutions.
