Preparation of Ni-P-CeO2 electrode and study on electrocatalytic properties for hydrogen evolution reaction
In this study ternary Ni-P-CeO2 catalysts were first synthesized by the Co-electrodeposition method on a copper substrate and then characterized by means of microstructural and electrochemical techniques toward a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Also, for comparison other catalysts such as Ni-CeO2, Ni-P, and Ni were prepared and characterized by the same methods. The microstructure of the inv...
متن کاملElectrocatalytic hydrogen evolution in acidic water with molecular cobalt tetraazamacrocycles.
A series of water-soluble molecular cobalt complexes of tetraazamacrocyclic ligands are reported for the electrocatalytic production of H(2) from pH 2.2 aqueous solutions. The comparative data reported for this family of complexes shed light on their relative efficiencies for hydrogen evolution in water. Rotating disk electrode voltammetry data are presented for each of the complexes discussed,...
متن کاملElectrocatalytic hydrogen evolution using amorphous tungsten phosphide nanoparticles.
Amorphous tungsten phosphide (WP), which has been synthesized as colloidal nanoparticles with an average diameter of 3 nm, has been identified as a new electrocatalyst for the hydrogen-evolution reaction (HER) in acidic aqueous solutions. WP/Ti electrodes produced current densities of -10 mA cm(-2) and -20 mA cm(-2) at overpotentials of only -120 mV and -140 mV, respectively, in 0.50 M H2SO4(aq).
متن کاملElectrocatalytic Activity of the Ni57.3Co42.7 Alloy for the Hydrogen Evolution
The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) on Ni57.3Co42.7 alloy and its main components, polycrystalline nickel and cobalt was investigated in 1.0 mol L–1 NaOH solution at 20 °C using cyclic voltammetry, pseudo-steady-state linear polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods. The purpose of investigation was to evaluate the effect of cobalt on the intrinsic catalytic activity of ...
متن کاملElectrocatalytic hydrogen evolution by cobalt difluoroboryl-diglyoximate complexes.
In the presence of moderately strong acids in CH3CN, cobalt complexes with BF2-bridged diglyoxime ligands are active catalysts for the reduction of protons to H2 at potentials as positive as -0.28 V vs. SCE.
