Elderly Muslim Wellbeing: Family Support, Participation in Religious Activities, and Happiness

Aims: The aim of this study was to examine the effect family support and participation in religious activities on happiness elderly muslims. Background: An increase number older age people should be balanced with increased quality their life. life is influenced by internal factors such as self-quality, well external activities. Objective: objective research identify differences level muslims based several factors: Work, health, salary, Islamic study, marriage. Methods: Three hundred ten (133 male, 177 female) participated study. Respondents were selected simple random sampling muslim population seven districts Central Java province, Indonesia. Results: results showed 1) there a correlation between Muslims, 2) healthy person has higher than sick person; who partake studies one two times week have do not; retired highest compared still work not (the lowest happiness), no difference terms salary Conclusion: Family are main predictors subjective well-being elderly.
