Egg yolk phosphatidylcholine is more effective than soybean phosphatidylcholine in improving dyslipidemia of obesity in mice fed a high-fat diet

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dietary egg yolk phosphatidylcholine (EPC) and soybean (SPC) on obesity mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD). After 60 days intervention, were evaluated by biochemical indices serum lipidomic analysis. EPC SPC markedly reduced total cholesterol, triacylglycerol (TAG) low-density lipoprotein while increased high-density cholesterol. was more effective in reducing malondialdehyde superoxide dismutase liver than SPC. Main lipids including glycerophospholipids, TAG, sphingolipids fatty acyls significantly modified EPC. Compared with HFD, 10 main differential such as phosphatidyl ethanolamine (22:6_20:0). The expressions related protein sterol-regulatory element binding proteins (SREBP-1c) peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPAR-α) down-regulated treatment. Therefore, improving regulating glycerophospholipid metabolism.
