EFL Students’ Attitude toward Collaborative Strategic Reading in Reading Classroom

Focusing on attitude toward teaching strategies and promoting collaboration in reading have been widely acknowledged to impact students’ achievement attitude. This study explores the implementation of CSR. Conducted under qualitative research design, this involved 21 high school students who were classified into low- high-achievers. To collect data, administered a set instruments: questionnaire, interview. The data from questionnaire analysed by determining means items percentages responses, interview qualitatively. findings line with performance which achievers gave more “agree” responses. They believed that CSR helped them develop their comprehension terms main idea, increasing vocabularies. However, for low achieving group, only effect was acknowledgement its contribution increase vocabulary. offers recommendations practice as well further research.
