EFL Learners’ Syntactic Problems in Translation at AL-Baha University from Arabic into English

This research aims to address the syntactic problems that Saudi students confront when translating. The significance of study is detect issues among Arabian undergraduate students. question addressed in study: what are translating? researcher used a descriptive analytical method. sample twenty students, selected from boys’ section, were males and second level, enrolled semester 2018, at College Arts Sciences, majoring English Beljurshi, Al Baha University, this validated test written Arabic text as tool collect information about problem. data was examined, students’ detected categorized omission addition study. finding reveals received score 103 out total 50.7, while additions 99 49 percent. There 202 total. Discussion indicates grammar norms not being followed by lack familiarity with two languages’ rules, interference between languages most common cause errors, failed notice there some distinctions Arabic. recommends pursuing additional areas connected issues.
