Efficient Measurement Method: Development of a System Using Measurement Templates for an Orthodontic Measurement Project

We have developed a new system for measuring dental, gnathic, and facial areas with cephalogram-equivalent images created from computed tomographic imaging data. An advantage of this collaborative is that measurement template automated processing are used. First, experienced orthodontists were provided the templates; they then moved markers to specified landmarks on cephalogram in template. Subsequently, program automatically detected coordinates calculated distance between those coordinates.
