چکیده

While the minimum cost flow (MCF) problems have been well documented in many publications, due to its broad applications, little or no effort devoted explaining algorithms for identifying loop formation and computing θ value needed solve MCF network problems. This paper proposes efficient algorithms, MATLAB computer implementation, solving Several academic real-life solved validate proposed algorithms; numerical results obtained by developed code compared matched with built-in function Linprog() (Simplex algorithm) further validation.

Parallel algorithms for the assignment and minimum-cost flow problems

Let G = (V, E) be a network for an assignment problem with 2n nodes and m edges, in which the largest edge cost is C. Recently the class of instances of bipartite matching problems has been shown to be in RNC provided that C is O(logk n) for some fixed k. We show how to use scaling so as to develop an improved parallel algorithm and show that bipartite matching problems are in the class RNC pro...

Efficient implementations of minimum-cost flow algorithms

This paper presents efficient implementations of several algorithms for solving the minimum-cost network flow problem. Various practical heuristics and other important implementation aspects are also discussed. A novel result of this work is the application of Goldberg’s recent partial augment-relabel method in the cost-scaling algorithm. The presented implementations are available as part of t...

Improved teaching–learning-based and JAYA optimization algorithms for solving flexible flow shop scheduling problems

Flexible flow shop (or a hybrid flow shop) scheduling problem is an extension of classical flow shop scheduling problem. In a simple flow shop configuration, a job having ‘g’ operations is performed on ‘g’ operation centres (stages) with each stage having only one machine. If any stage contains more than one machine for providing alternate processing facility, then the problem...

The Minimum Universal Cost Flow in an Infeasible Flow Network

In this paper the concept of the Minimum Universal Cost Flow (MUCF) for an infeasible flow network is introduced. A new mathematical model in which the objective function includes the total costs of changing arc capacities and sending flow is built and analyzed. A polynomial time algorithm is presented to find the MUCF.

On Minimum Concave Cost Network Flow Problems

Minimum concave Cost Network Flow Problems (MCNFPs) arise naturally in many practical applications such as communication, transportation, distribution, and manufacturing, due to economic considerations. In addition, it has been shown that every MCNFP with general nonlinear cost functions can be transformed into a concave MCNFP on an expanded network. It must also be noted, that multiple source ...
