We have performed a 2D blue detuned Sisyphus collimation of cesium beam. Compared to red Doppler transverse molasses cooling, the setup was found very advantageous because its faster cooling time allowing short ( $${1}~\text {cm}$$ ) length and thus finally denser atomic A fibered laser developed delivering up $${500}\,\text {mW}$$ fiber coupled optical power. realized but this can be done only if two zones were not overlapping. beam density enhancement more than 10 observed. that simple top-hat efficient Gaussian one. Similar applies other atom species leads method produce bright collimated beams.
