Efficacy of Trichoderma asperellum against different pathogens of medicinal plants

Trichoderma asperellum is one of the plant growth-promoting fungi (PGPF) presently marketed as biopesticide, biofertilizer and in soil amendments, due to its ability protect plants, enhance vegetative growth reduce pathogen populations. Keeping this view, here, we assessed efficacy against pathogens medicinal plants vitro field conditions Leaf spot disease Green leaf Tulsi (Ocimum basilicum). We selected 10 different namely Ashwagandha (Withania sominifera) (Alternaria alternata Fusarium solani); Sarpgandha (Rauwolfia serpentina) (Colletotrichum sp. Alternaria alternata); basilicum) gloeosporioides Mint (Mentha arvensis) (Curvularia Mandukparni (Centella asiatica) (Cochliobolus sp.) for evaluation by Dual culture plate method. After 144 h, maximum inhibition (56.36%) was recorded F. solani. This followed Cochliobolus where reduction 55.38%. T. also found be effective isolated from (53.06%), Sarpagandha (53.51%), Curvularia (52.12%). In study, FYM enriched with asperellum, Pseudomonas fluorescence, neem oil fungicide were tested caused alternata.
