Efficacy of quinone outside inhibitors and demethylation inhibitors fungicides against false smut of rice (Oryza sativa)

The present study was carried out at research farm of Bihar Agricultural University, Bhagalpur, during rainy (kharif) season 2018–19 and 2019–20 to the efficacy four quinone outside inhibitors, demethylation inhibitors benzimidazole group fungicides, viz. trifloxystrobin 25% + tebuconazole 50% wg, flusilazole carbendazim 12.5% se, azoxystrobin 18.2% difenoconazole 11.4% sc 11% 18.3% W/W different growth stage rice (Oryza sativa L.), i.e. booting (BS), flowering (FS) 100% stage. Among them, wg @1 g/litre found superior in minimizing per cent disease infection. number infected tillers/m2 (18.33 13.33), smut balls/panicle (1.96 1.80), balls panicle (0.48% 0.51%), incidence (5.22%and 3.71%) severity (2.86% 1.78%) respectively were observed as compared control. Out tested significantly terms reducing infection with highest grain yield (90.58 q/ha) thereby upto 43.05% when it sprayed crop ml/litre under field condition both years. Hence, is concluded that, belonging two chemical family broad mode action fungicide (P<0.05%) reduced against false disease.
