Efficacy and Crop Response with FirstAct in ACCase-Tolerant Grain Sorghum
نویسندگان
چکیده
This research was conducted to determine the efficacy of quizalofop (FirstAct) herbicide in herbicide-tolerant grain sorghum. FirstAct evaluated for and crop response Double Team (ACCase-tolerant) All herbicides controlled Palmer amaranth 90% or more volunteer corn 95% late season. Johnsongrass control 86 91%. Minor sorghum injury early season did not persist. Sorghum receiving postemergence yielded than nontreated Parallel Plus preemergence.

Selection indices to identify drought-tolerant grain sorghum cultivars.
Twenty-five cultivars of grain sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] were examined under both drought stress and normal conditions in 4 experiments. In each condition, genotypes were evaluated in a factorial experiment using a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Eight drought tolerance indices including stability tolerance index, mean productivity (MP), geometric MP, harmonic ...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

The cotton root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita acrita, reproduced on the roots of grain sorghum, causing syncytia in the cortex or stele of lateral roots. Giant cells developed either singly with few nuclei or in groups with many nuclei. Giant cells that developed in groups appeared the same as those which developed singly. The pericycle and endodermis were interrupted at the site of nema...
متن کاملPhylogeographic evidence of crop neodiversity in sorghum.
Sorghum has shown the adaptability necessary to sustain its improvement during time and geographical extension despite a genetic foundation constricted by domestication bottlenecks. Initially domesticated in the northeastern part of sub-Saharan Africa several millenia ago, sorghum quickly spread throughout Africa, and to Asia. We performed phylogeographic analysis of sequence diversity for six ...
متن کاملCross Hedging Grain Sorghum in Missouri
Annually between 1994 and 1998 over 400,000 acres of grain sorghum have been harvested in Missouri with an average yield of 86/bushels/acre. The average value of production during this period was over $90 million. Grain sorghum (milo) is an important crop for some Missouri producers. Many sorghum producers also produce corn, soybean, or wheat. Each of these commodities has an actively traded fu...
