Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. PURPOSE The aim the present study is to evaluate impact a cardiac rehabilitation program on diastolic dysfunction, ejection fraction (EF) left ventricular and volume index atrium comparing 2 groups: those with restricted EF (<40%) intermediate preserved (≥ 40%). METHODS In 41 stable CHF patients (N = 41; 56 ±10 years [mean ± SD], 34 males 7 females) participated in an exercise (3 sessions week). Only 38 them completed form circuit-interval aerobic training, adjusted according 70–80% heart rate reserve, for period 3 months. A detailed echocardiogram was performed before immediately after program, focusing dysfunction assessment ventricular. RESULTS At end three months stage significantly decreased (from 1.45+/- 0.72 1.08 +/-0.67, p .000). LV increased 34.97+/-10.66 36.68 +/-10.52, .002). addition, there significant decrease E/E" RVSP 9.37+/-3.54 8.47+/-3.34 from 28.44+/-6.86mmHg 27.38+/-5.87 mmHg, =.033 =.030, respectively). Finally, atrial average e" had no decrease. CONCLUSIONS Circuit training improved both systolic but repercussion volume. From this it concluded that can have improvement especially group, mechanism essential pathophysiology CHF. Table 1 PairedDifferences t df Sig. (2-tailed) Mean Std. Diastolic heart failure, diastolic left ventricular dysfunction and exercise intolerance.
The phenomenon of “diastolic heart failure” is rightly receiving greater attention (1–4); community-based studies such as those in Framingham (5) and Olmsted County (6) show that up to 50% of older persons with heart failure do not have impaired left ventricular (LV) systolic function to account for this, and that the condition is usually associated with LV hypertrophy and is preceded by elevat...

background: early diagnosis of left ventricular mass (lvm) inappropriateness and left ventricular hypertrophy (lvh) can result in preventing diastolic left ventricular dysfunction and its related morbidity and mortality. this study was performed to determine if diastolic dysfunction is associated with lvh and inappropriate lvm. methods: one hundred and twenty five uncomplicated hypertensi...

Background:Cardiac rehabilitation program (CRP) is a useful method of modifying cardiovascular risk factors, improving life expectancy and quality of life in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD). The present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of cardiac rehabilitation on the pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LV...
متن کاملThe clinical quandary of left and right ventricular diastolic dysfunction and diastolic heart failure
Diastolic heart failure is a common clinical entity that is indistinguishable from systolic heart failure without direct evaluation of left ventricular function. Diastolic heart failure is a clinical diagnosis in patients with signs and symptoms of heart failure but with preserved left ventricular function and normal ejection fraction, and is often seen in patients with a long-standing history ...
متن کاملAcute and chronic effects of oestradiol on left ventricular diastolic function in hypertensive postmenopausal women with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.
BACKGROUND Left ventricular function changes in the postmenopausal state. However, there are conflicting reports about the effects of oestrogen on left ventricular diastolic function in postmenopausal women. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the acute and chronic effects of oestradiol in physiological doses on diastolic heart function in hypertensive postmenopausal women with left ventricular diastolic d...
