Effects of uterine polyps on embryo implantation in IVF cycles

Embryo implantation requires healthy uterine endometrium for natural or assisted reproductive technology conception. However, in presence of any endometrial anatomical abnormality disease, is affected. Uterine polyps are over growths cells that extend into the cavity. They usually noncancerous. There can be one many polyps. range size from a few millimeters to several centimeters larger. may cause vaginal bleeding between periods, heavy frequent unpredictable periods and infertility. The objective this study was find out effects on embryo cycles Saudi women being treated at an infertility clinic. This case-control study. participants were ratio 5:1 i.e., every 5 patients there control. polyp diagnosis carried with ultrasound biopsy. We observed high incidence failure as compared control patients. results indicated risk factor conception after vitro fertilization.
