Throughout a typical Earth orbit satellite is constantly bombarded by radiation with trapped and solar protons being of particular concern as they gradually damage the focal plane devices throughout mission degrade their performance. To understand impact has on CCDs how it varies thermal history proton campaign been carried out using CCD280. The CCD irradiated at 153 K warmed to 188 in 5 increments Fe55 X-ray, dark current trap pumping images taken after each anneal step. results show that despite landscape changing little parallel charge transfer inefficiency. This thought be because most traps are unaffected lot those do only move from continuum between distinct species into nearby divacancy 'peak' whose emission time constant similar enough still CTI. In terms CCD280 or CTI annealing up means any correction needed builds does not have take account plane. However, possible significant amount will occur temperatures greater than care should when operating this range gather accurate pre-flight data.
