Effects of Sugars and Degradation Products Derived from Lignocellulosic Biomass on Maleic Acid Production

چکیده
In this study, maleic acid was produced from xylose contained in a hydrolysate generated by oxalic pretreatment of yellow poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera), and the factors that influenced production were evaluated. Furfural obtained using H2SO4 as catalyst, depending on combined severity (CSFs). increased concentration increased. yield (46.70%), conversion (70.95%), xylo–oligomer (75.47%) high at CSF 1.92 with 1.64% H2SO4. However, furfural slightly to 7.10 g/L 1.89, compared 1.92. Maleic (CSF H2SO4) 91.44%. better when formic acetic included than alone (79.94% vs. 78.82%). Based results, can be proposed new substitute for fossil fuel-derived raw materials.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of different doses of pistachio by-product (PBP) extracts supplemented with alfalfa hay (AH) or barley grain (BG) on microbial fermentation in an in vitro fermentation system. The total extracted phenolic compounds were 36.96, 65.78, 67.02 and 8.85% and total extracted tannin contents were 37.11, 59.64, 56.87 and 7.55% when PBP was extract...

Lignocellulosic biomass is the most abundant renewable raw material on the earth and it is so far the most suitable and promising resource for the production of biofuels to replace long-term use of fossil oil. This research aims to convert lignocellulose-based industrial residuals, fibre sludge (FS) from a pulp mill and pine sawdust (PSD) from a sawmill, into platform sugars by two different bi...

BACKGROUND To develop pathways for advanced biofuel production, and to understand the impact of host metabolism and environmental conditions on heterologous pathway engineering for economic advanced biofuels production from biomass, we seek to redirect the carbon flow of the model ethanologen Zymomonas mobilis to produce desirable hydrocarbon intermediate 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BDO). 2,3-BDO is a ...
