Effects of Sodium Sulphide as an Inhibitor on CdS Films Obtained by Chemical Bath Deposition

In the present study, CdS thin films were produced on glass substrates by chemical bath deposition method, and sodium sulfite was used to reduce reaction rate. Based absorbance measurements, it found that energy band gaps of increased from 2.35 2.49 eV depending amount inhibitor. It also when rate decreased, crystal structure shifted cubic phase hexagonal in reference X-ray diffraction results. When had phase, seen scanning electron microscope images pinholes voids not surface films. Surface roughness values calculated using images, these vary between 22 nm 9 nm.
