Effects of Short Birth Interval on Birth Outcomes among Term Pregnant Mothers in Labor

Short birth interval is a global public health problem that remains challenging in Ethiopia. This study aimed to determine the effects of short on outcomes among term pregnant mothers labor Nekemte, An institution-based prospective cohort-study with convenient sampling technique was conducted from February 01 March 30, 2016. A total 207 were enrolled ratio 1:2 women intervals and actualbirth intervals. The data collected using structured questionnaire analyzed by SPSS version 20. Women more likely have premature rupture membrane, prolonged labor, preeclampsia, risk malposition or malpresentation compared actual also had babies low weight, APGAR score, respiratory distress, having early age for gestational growth, neonatal death, anemicnewborn Therefore, findings this revealed significant influence both maternal outcomes.
